Brow Pre-Care Instructions
Following these guidelines will help ensure a smooth process and optimal results for your brow enhancement.
- Avoid Sun Exposure: Stay out of the sun and refrain from using tanning beds for at least one week prior to your appointment to reduce the risk of skin irritation.
- Botox and Facial Treatments: Schedule any botox or facial treatments either 2 weeks before or after your brow procedure.
- No Blood Thinners: Avoid aspirin, alcohol, ibuprofen, and certain supplements that thin the blood for 24 hours before your appointment. This helps minimize bleeding and bruising.
- Alcohol and Caffeine: Do not consume alcohol or excessive caffeine 24 hours before your procedure to lessen skin sensitivity.
- Discontinue Retinoids: Stop using retinoids and vitamin A creams on the forehead and brow area 2 weeks before treatment, as they can heighten skin sensitivity.
- No Waxing or Plucking: Refrain from waxing, threading, or plucking your eyebrows for at least one week before. Come with your brows in their natural state; unnecessary hairs will be removed during your appointment.
- Medication Disclosure: Inform your technician of any prescription medications you're currently taking.
- Post-Accutane Waiting Period: Wait at least one year after stopping Accutane before undergoing brow treatment.
- Consultation After Chemo or Radiation: If you've recently undergone chemotherapy or radiation, please consult with your doctor before scheduling your brow treatment.
- Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your appointment to keep your skin hydrated.
